We consider the environmental impact of everything we do - including but not limited to:
- Quality Materials and Craftsmanship ensure our products’ durability, potentially extending its lifespan. A longer-lasting product reduces the need for replacement and avoids being sent to a landfill or incinerator.
- Local Material Sourcing: A minimum of 90% of materials are produced in the northeast US, where StowAway is designed and manufactured – reducing transportation fuel costs and exhaust emissions.
- Local Labor Sourcing: 100% of StowAway manufacturing is performed within a 10-mile radius – significantly reducing fuel costs and exhaust emissions.
- Efficient Manufacturing: Streamlined process to minimize waste and energy consumption.
- Recyclable Packaging: A minimum of 90% of StowAway’s packaging consists of corrugated cardboard – one of the world’s most recycled materials.
- End-of-Life Considerations: StowAway’s lasting durability provides other options for prolonging its use, such as donating or re-selling.
